Beating the Crowds: Season, Day, and Time
Best Season
The most pleasant times to visit Marrakech, and by extension the Madrasa, are during the shoulder seasons: Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November). The weather is mild and perfect for exploring the Medina, and the crowds are more manageable than in the peak summer months.
Best Day of the Week
For the quietest experience, aim for a weekday visit. Weekends tend to be busier with both international tourists and local visitors.
Best Time of Day
The golden rule for visiting the Madrasa is to go early or go late. The site is most peaceful in the first hour after opening (9:00 AM to 10:00 AM). This is also when the light is softest and ideal for photography. Alternatively, the last couple of hours before closing (5:00 PM to 7:00 PM) also see thinner crowds as tour groups depart for the day.
